‘Innovation’ is the new catchphrase of the 21st century which is seen as a means of converting ideas into new or improved products, processes and services. Undoubtedly, innovation is used for commercialization via taking inventions to the marketplace by translating scientific knowledge into products, services, and offerings for economic growth and social development.
The Incubation Centre at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR campus emphasises on fostering a complete ecosystem to create discernment of innovation across the schools at the Delhi-NCR campus, starting from idea generation to pre-incubation, incubation and graduating as successful start-ups.
The centre aims to inspire the inventive, innovative and creative spirit of students to work on new ideas and plans and endorses them to initiate entrepreneurial ventures for economic and social development. The incubator systematically nurtures the students’ ideas by providing them the culture of creativity and innovation and by supporting them financially and emotionally in turning their dreams into reality.

Primary focus areas:
1. To frame vivid creative and innovative eco-systems
2. To replicate the functions and processes performed by the central campus in the Delhi/NCR campus
3. To cognitively and financially encourage the students for start-up ventures.
Functions of the incubator:
- To organize various innovation-related and entrepreneurial activities
- To conduct periodic workshops/seminars/interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, professionals and create a mentor pool for student innovators
- To organize entrepreneurial events and sessions like business plan competitions, idea-challenges etc, to scout such ideas
- To offer access to high-quality infrastructure and a vibrant community of successful entrepreneurs, investors and corporate managers to all users of the Centre
- To encourage academic research with the aim of better understanding the entrepreneurial environment in India and the strategies that are likely to succeed in said environment
- To establish a structured mentoring process where a team of experienced mentors offer their expertise to both current and prospective entrepreneurs.
